Portail Shopping Evening

Last week we had a fun night at our Tallinn Studio Store! In collaboration with the Estonian online fashion and lifestyle magazine Portail, we hosted one last shopping evening before the Summer hiatus.
The highlight of the evening was make-up artist Gerda Miller. She showcased her favourite and easiest make-up tricks for those hot Summer parties.

Thanks to everyone who joined us that night and see you in September!

HOW IT’S MADE: KIMONO GOWN

I hope you´ve heard already that all our pieces are made in our studio in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. One of the newest limited edition additions to our collections is the Kimono Gown. It´s one of my favourite pieces in the whole collection. For a long time I dreamt of using the most common dressing gown waffle fabric and transform it into a chic and fresh robe. And the result does make me happy.
It´s perfect as a dressing gown at home but it´s equally great as a Spring coat (tested it on my recent trip to New York).

But how is it actually made? Check the video below and come behind the scenes to our studio.

INSPIRATION: BRIGHT PINK

Summer is just around the corner, so it´s the perfect time to start updating our wardrobes. The one colour that´s always on trend for the warm weather is Bright Pink. The colour is already everywhere from London catwalks to the streets of Paris, so we decided to give it a try as well.

We styled our Glossy jersey Bright Pink pieces into everyday outfits. We decided to colour clash the Sian T-shirt with a red jacket and tone down the Krista Suspender Top with denim. Here´s what we cooked up.

Visual diary: HK & Singapore

In March I had the pleasure of visiting two new places in Asia – Hong Kong & Singpore. I´ve wanted to fly to these places for such a long time, so was really excited to finally be able to do it. Luckily it was a mix of work and pleasure and I managed to look around a bit and do the touristy stuff in both places.
Here are my favourite moments all mixed together.

HOW IT’S MADE: TOKU x KRISS SOONIK

Last year around the same time a new shoe brand popped up in Estonia. It was called Toku. I was intrigued as there are not many shoe brands made in Estonia. Their style was minimal, Nordic which I really liked. So I decided to contact them.

A year later I am proud to present you our first pair of sandals! Made with soft leather and ergonomic insoles these sandals are super comfy. We added our KS initials to the insole, a bit of bling and of course a Marabou puff, and now the glam result is a must for the Summer ahead.

Here’a a look at how the first Kriss Soonik x Toku sandals were born.

POP-UP: La Foret Tokyo

Yesterday we opened a pop-up shop at La Foret Harajuku – one of Tokyo´s coolest department stores. This is not our first pop-up at La Foret but this time we are just by the grand entrance. It can´t get any better than that!

The space was completely empty, so we had to create a Kriss Soonik world in a few hours.

The result is really beautiful! It´s elegant and cute. You can find our latest SS18 collection (some styles are already sold out!) here until Thursday 22nd March!

INSPIRATION: LILAC

If there is one colour this Spring that you should add to your wardrobe, then that colour is Lilac. I remember my grandmother wearing it when I was a child. For a long time in my eyes that meant it was a colour for grannies. Let´s say, I wasn´t a huge fan. But after a few trips to Tokyo, I started seeing it in a new light. And I guess the fashion world has done the same.
From catwalk to street, lilac is everywhere. You can find lilac lace also in our webshop just in time for the warm weather.
So get inspired and start preparing!

HOW TO WEAR: CALIFORNIA EDITION

One of my dearest friends Liilit went to LA and Las Vegas. When we found out about the trip we decided to pack her suitcase with the most versatile, light and easy to wear pieces from our collection.
This is how my super stylish friend styled the pieces on her trip.

Heart Dress

As I mentioned in my last blog post, the Heart Dress is the easiest thing to wear for an immediate impact look. Liilit threw it over leggings and a tank top and voila! I love how she has added the stripy socks to match the dress´s sporty details.

Wings Sweatshirt

Our new Wings Sweatshirt is a perfect Spring item. It´s soft and cuddly but the elegant French lace wings on the back add an immediate touch of glamour. Styled here with the Glitter Skirt the combo is fresh, sporty and elegant.

Jo Glitter Skirt

According to Liilit, the glitter skirt turned out to be a real head turner! Loving how she wore the skirt with the gold LA logo top and gold socks. But I especially love the starry leggings under the skirt! Of course Liilit´s signature red lipstick seals the final look 🙂
