INSPIRATION: BRIGHT PINK

Summer is just around the corner, so it´s the perfect time to start updating our wardrobes. The one colour that´s always on trend for the warm weather is Bright Pink. The colour is already everywhere from London catwalks to the streets of Paris, so we decided to give it a try as well.

We styled our Glossy jersey Bright Pink pieces into everyday outfits. We decided to colour clash the Sian T-shirt with a red jacket and tone down the Krista Suspender Top with denim. Here´s what we cooked up.

HTW: SUSAN TOP IN TOKYO

Japanese girls know how to flaunt our pieces! Wearing them as part of their daily looks comes so naturally to them, every time I´m in Tokyo I just watch and learn. The best example of course is our shop staff at the latest La Foret pop-up. Meet Mai, Natsuki & Reina – the experts in wearing Kriss Soonik!

Susan Top

Susan Lace Top has become sort of a cult product in Tokyo. It´s cute, elegant, easy to wear. Over the years we´ve done them in many different colours. When the world loves the top in black then Japanese girls love all pastel colours as well. This season it comes in beautiful lilac.

The long-sleeved version of Susan Lace is a great transition piece from cold Winter months to warmer Spring days. It´s easy to layer and adds an immediate touch of elegance to any outfit.

Over the years we´ve also made the Susan Top in different fabrics exclusively for Japan. The most recent being Glitter Tulle and Hearts Tulle. This season we also played with the jersey fabric and the result is a supercute dress. Can be worn as a Summer dress or why not layer it like Mai over your jeans in Spring?

POP-UP: La Foret Tokyo

Yesterday we opened a pop-up shop at La Foret Harajuku – one of Tokyo´s coolest department stores. This is not our first pop-up at La Foret but this time we are just by the grand entrance. It can´t get any better than that!

The space was completely empty, so we had to create a Kriss Soonik world in a few hours.

The result is really beautiful! It´s elegant and cute. You can find our latest SS18 collection (some styles are already sold out!) here until Thursday 22nd March!

INSPIRATION: LILAC

If there is one colour this Spring that you should add to your wardrobe, then that colour is Lilac. I remember my grandmother wearing it when I was a child. For a long time in my eyes that meant it was a colour for grannies. Let´s say, I wasn´t a huge fan. But after a few trips to Tokyo, I started seeing it in a new light. And I guess the fashion world has done the same.
From catwalk to street, lilac is everywhere. You can find lilac lace also in our webshop just in time for the warm weather.
So get inspired and start preparing!

HOW TO WEAR: HEARTS

February is all about LOVE. That´s why this month I´m sharing my love for our new Pille Heart Top, Heart Dress and pink Pille Lace Top.

Pille Heart Top

With see-through garments, it´s all about layering. Pille Heart Top is perfect for the office look or a night out. You can tuck the shirt in or leave it out. The black velvet hearts make it equally cute and tough. Add a bit of animal print to make it extra photogenic.

Heart Dress

The Heart Dress is one of my all time favourite pieces! Sporty detailing mixed with delicate tulle makes it playful and elegant. It´s really easy to build an outfit with this dress. Here I´m wearing it on top of skinny jeans and our Kristel Turtleneck Suspender Top. My smart-casual outfit du jour.

Pille Lace Top

As I keep mentioning – with sheer pieces it´s all about layering. So this time I put the Pille Lace Top under a smart, short-sleeved cardigan. The top adds colour and glamour to the outfit.

Visual Diary: Paris

I spent last weekend in rainy Paris. We were part of a showroom in the fashionable Le Marais neighbourhood showing the next Autumn/Winter 2018 collection to buyers from all over the world.

Doing big trade shows is usually very tiring and we don´t get to see daylight at all. But this time was more relaxed and I managed to even walk around Paris looking for inspiration. Here are some of the pictures I took during the trip. Enjoy!

SALE PICKS: LINGERIE SPECIAL

We really enjoy bringing you our how to wear posts. But this time we went back to basics and picked the sale favourites from our lingerie selection.

Ilona Bra & Maike Glossy Knickers

This lingerie set is for girls who want to show off but want to keep covered at the same time. The Ilona Bra gold suspender clip is a detail that just begs for attention.

Alison Lace Bra & Knickers

Well, puffs are like cats – everybody likes them (or at least wants to secretly pet them). This Alison set in lime green is a secret ego booster under your outfit.

Silvia Lace Bra & Maike Lace Knickers

One of the dreamiest sets from our classic lace rainbow range. These sets rarely make it to sale, so it´s a great opportunity to grab a Kriss Soonik signature.

KRISS’S SALE PICKS VOL 2

Last week Kriss chose 3 of her favourite styles from our big semi-annual sale and this week she has picked 3 more. Here´s how she styled the Glitter Trousers, Inge Fishnet Gown and Jo Lace Top.

Elve Body & Glitter Trousers

Our wardrobes are sportier than ever before and the Glitter Trousers are perfect for the trend. Styling them with the chic Elve Mesh Bodysuit, kitten heels and sequin jacket, makes them less loungy and more Sunday brunch ready.

Inge Fishnet Gown

The Inge Fishnet Gown is a very versatile piece. From the beach to the office, it can be styled in many different ways. Here Kriss layered it with the modal Kristel Suspender Top (that´s now sold out already).

Jo Lace Top

Kriss said that the Jo Lace Top is one of her most favourite pieces she has ever designed. Why? “Because you can throw it over a t-shirt and pair of jeans and it will make the look immediately elegant and glamorous”. Here Kriss paired it with the white Kristel Turtleneck Suspender Top. This look shows very well how white is not only for Summer!

KRISS’S SALE PICKS VOL 1

New year has started and in the Kriss Soonik world that means sale time! This January you can shop our sale on our website and also in our Tallinn showroom.

To make your shopping easier, Kriss picked and styled some of her sale favourites. Here´s what she chose.

Alison Lace Babydoll
The Alison Lace Babydoll in lime green is the perfect combination of cute and bold. This is definitely one of those boudoir pieces that has to be taken out for a spin. Kriss wore it with the Kristel Turtleneck Suspender Top, making it perfect also for cold Winter months.

Susan Lace Top
One of our bestsellers – the Susan Top – rarely goes on sale. That´s why the Nude+Orange top is a must! There are only a few of these tops left, so hurry. Styled here with the Katwoman T-shirt, the combination has the right amount of playfulness.

Disco Suspender Top & Jo Glitter Skirt
This look definitely turned out to be Kriss´s favourite! Glitter is not only for the holiday season, so spice things up this January with some shine in your life. Mixing feminine and masculine is one great way to wear shiny things. The leather trousers add an edge to the Jo Glitter Tulle Skirt and Disco Suspender Top combination.

2017 Highlights

2017 has been a challenging year. The world around us is moving faster and faster and changing at high speed. For me and the brand it has also been a year of changes. But even though change is scary, it´s also good and I believe that we have built something exciting for the years ahead.

I thank all our customers for your ongoing support and love. Without you we wouldn´t be here. Thank you and have a fantastic 2018!

Here are 5 of my highlights from 2017.

Cover of fashion magazine Anne & Stiil
The year started with a bang when I became the cover girl for one of Estonia´s top selling fashion magazines Anne & Stiil. My husband didn´t recognise me on the cover which was probably the highlight of it all.

Tokyo pop-up at Rocket in Omotesando
Tokyo is the centre for most of our activities and we do a lot of pop-ups there but this one was extra special. The pop-up at Rocket Gallery in Omotesando was the first standalone pop-up boutique we have ever done. We had such a fun “Caribbean Dreaming” themed opening event sipping Mai Tais and grooving to good rhythms.

London Shoreditch pop-up
While we organise a lot of pop-up shops in Tokyo then we hadn´t had one in London for years. We could almost say it was our first pop-up there. Our little shop in London´s fashionable Shoreditch became the “Garden of Naughty Delights” for a week. Conceptual designer Helen Sirp brought this theme to life with lots of plants, a green house and cute gardening gadgets.

Baby Likes To Pony x Kriss Soonik collaboration
We created a capsule collection for one of the coolest lingerie boutiques in Australia (and probably the whole world) – Baby Likes To Pony. It´s fierce and sexy and I love everything about it. The highlight of the range is a fishnet hooded bra that was sold out even before it arrived in store. More stock coming soon 🙂

Tallinn Studio Opening
The very highlight of the year was opening our first ever space. A creative hub where our collections are created and made, and where our customers can visit us and buy our designs. With the brand turning 9 in January, it felt like the right time to take a step closer to our customers and get to know them better. The 200m2 space, designed by the interior design wizard Katrin Emmus, is spacious and light and has all the same quirky details that our collections have.
