It was my 8th time in Tokyo but this time was extra special – I was finally there during the peak cherry blossoming. And I must say nothing really compares to these fluffy white and pink petals. Apparently Sakura season is bigger than Christmas in Japan. And now I know what the hype is about!
The main reason for my visit to Tokyo this time was our pop-up at Omotesando Hills Rocket at the heart of Tokyo’s most prestigious shopping street Omotesando. This is the legendary street where Gucci, Chanel, Loewe et al. have their flagships.
We had a fabulous opening party. Was so great seeing all my Japanese friends (thank you for my beautiful flowers and gifts!) and also meeting so many new faces. The pop-up’s theme was “Caribbean Dreaming” after our SS17 campaign. Guests were posing with our campaign stars dolphin and flamingo while sipping Litchi Blue cocktails. We had loads of fun as you can see from the gallery below.
