Kriss´s Top 5 – October

Visit: Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition in London

The French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has again outdone itself by offering a modern and unexpected reinterpretation of a fashion show. It was great to peek into the world of head designer Nicolas Ghesquière and discover his inspirations for the collection. The exhibition is on until 18th of October so there’s still time to visit if you haven’t already.

Attend: Tallinn Fashion Week

I can´t believe it´s been already 1 year since we won the Fashion Designer of the Year Award Golden Needle (Kuldnõel) at Tallinn Fashion Week. This year I´ll be rooting for other designers and taking a break from hosting a fashion show but that doesn´t mean it will be a month without shows…

Indulge: Secret Brunch

On the 24th October the Secret Temple will open its doors in Central London to more than 1000 guests for an epic daytime party. One of the highlights of the day will be the Kriss Soonik fashion show. Follow us on Instagram and keep an eye on our blog for some top secret content and backstage pictures from the event.

Listen: Michelle Obama´s Spotify Playlist

In honour of International Day of the Girl, the First Lady has shared her first-ever Spotify playlist. With Beyoncé, TLC & Lauryn Hill, it´s easy to top our office music selection.

Lust: Hay

It is no secret that I am completely obsessed with stationery. I have at least 3 notebooks at all times – you need different sizes for different bags, right? So it comes as no surprise that the Danish brand Hay has just become my latest obsession. They make everything from stationery to furniture, so there´s a lot to covet.

Behind the Scenes: AW15 Moodboard. Vol.3

The newly launched Silk Velvet is our most luxurious range yet. The deep black fabric from England is truly sumptuous, combining toughness and elegance.

Inspired by black cats, the dark night and luxe living, the range is perfect from lounging in your living room to partying at Hotel Costes in Paris.

Whether it´s the top with suspender details, shorts with cut-outs on hips, or wings on the back of the dressing gown, all pieces have a little detail to them that makes them unique and immediately appealing.

Tokyo Visual Diary. Part 1

Last Friday we hosted a Kriss Soonik Disco at Isetan – the largest department store in Japan. The very gorgeous Sachiko and myself had the privilege to DJ the funkiest tunes from the golden age of disco and spice them up with some cool modern tunes.

Guests including our clients, stylists and bloggers had the chance to browse the new AW15 collection that had just been launched in the Acute Grrrl concept store on the 2nd floor.

Due to Isetan’s very strict rules (basically, no drinks or food allowed), we continued our party at the legendary New Sazae where we danced the night away and disco tunes played until the early hours.

The pop up store will stay open until the 6th October – if you’re in Tokyo, be sure to visit us at Isetan Shinjuku 3rd floor and check out the new collection with some items exclusive to Japan.

Behind the Scenes: AW15 Moodboard. Vol.2

The second line of AW15 to launch this week is the ribbed jersey in navy.

The ribbed jersey range is feminine, the lace cut out details make it elegant, and the navy colour adds depth. It was inspired by the sea at night, Guy Bourdin photographs and lingerie detailing.

AW15 Ribbed Moodboard

For a couple of seasons the star details of the ribbed jersey line have been the lace wings on the gowns and tops, and the removable Marabou puffs on the suspender tops. This season we have added a halter-neck top with a gold suspender clip & button detail that will hopefully become as popular. Claire top is specially designed to be worn under the Wings Wrap or even Wings Top – letting the skin glow through the lace wings.

For all our fans in the Nordic climate, we listened to your comments, and we are happy to announce that this AW15 all sleeves in this range are full-length long. So now you can fully wrap yourself in the soft jersey while staying subtly sexy.

Kriss´s Top 5 – September

Wear: Cosy knits
Autumn is around the corner and once again I have become obsessed with knitwear. Not only does it show in our new collection but it shows in every aspect of my wardrobe. My Summer tank tops have all been switched to warm cardis with comfy turtlenecks. Bring on the cold weather. I dare you!

Read: Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso
The founder of fashion e-tailer Nasty Gal has written a book that´s both her life story and a guide to running a business. I can´t say that everything about this book was perfect but I feel there should be more books like this. The book offers a sassy manifesto for ambitious young female entrepreneurs which can be really empowering. Especially in times of uncertainty.

Visit: London Fashion Week
Rock ´n´ roll all the way. Fashion week madness always brightens up the city. I love the buzz it creates. If you´ve forgotten that fashion is exciting and fun, then LFW is there to remind you that.

Travel: Tallinn-London-Paris-Tokyo
Just back from Tallinn, off to Paris and then to Tokyo – a typical busy September. With such travels, the most important thing is to pack right but I am still learning how to do that. I love pieces that are multifunctional, things that can easily be transformed from daywear to partywear. Will keep you posted how it goes in one of the future posts.

Shoe obsession: Camilla Elphick
The Camilla Elphick Bugs Bunny Pez shoes are one of my favourite fashion finds of the year so far. Big love.

Behind the Scenes: AW15 Moodboard. Vol.1

The first new range of AW15 to launch this week is the grey knit jersey. When designing the collection I wanted to include something cosy yet chic. This Italian knit fabric is ideal – it feels rich and tactile, like wool, while also being utterly soft, breathable, and comfy. Perfect from home to office.

Even though initially the range leaves a casual impression, all styles have a sexy detail to them. Laura Shorts and long harem trousers have cool cut-out details on sides, Katrin tank top has been decorated with suspender details and small satin bows, and the Kriss Soonik signature long-sleeved Kristel suspender top as we already know has suspenders at the bottom of the top. And of course for Emily bra and knickers sexy can be taken for granted. All pieces have been decorated with our brand new black cat metal label.

Last Week of Summer Sale

Our semi-annual sale comes to an end this Sunday. Here are some highlights you can still find on sale. Many of the pieces are the very last ones remaining. If they are gone, they are gone forever.

And to spice things up, you can use the code EXTRA10 at checkout to get extra 10% off everything until midnight today.

Blushing Mesh

We have two gorgeous colours of mesh – Silver Peony and Burgundy. Even though made from a very comfy and casual material, they have a regal touch to them. The pearls, the frills, the bows – all have helped to create a sumptuous look for the range.

Pastel Lace

One of Kriss Soonik signature materials – French lace – is available on sale in many different pastel colours. The yellow and nude+orange being our absolute favourites. Many of the lace pieces can be mixed into your daily wardrobe and are definitely not just limited to being lingerie items.

Monochrome Jersey
Recently Updated1

Most of our jersey pieces come in black, white or grey. But it doesn´t mean that they are boring in any way! Au contraire. They are spiced up with cool details like gold buttons, Marabou puffs or patent details. They are rock ´n´ roll all the way.

Kriss´s Top 5 – August

London summer weather has been a tiny bit miserable this year. So to keep our mood up at the Kriss Soonik headquarters, we listen to the best summer grooves. And we try to stay positive – there´s still a lot of official summertime ahead of us. Fingers crossed.

Instead of the usual monthly top 5, here´s the top 10 of our office favourite hits that we´ll still have on repeat this month.

Outfit Ideas: Shop the sale

We dug around in our archives to bring you ideas how to style some of the pieces now available in our Summer sale. Here´s what we found.

Sparkle Suspender Top
How to wear
This cool suspender top is from our AW13 collection. The black fabric is spiced up with hints of gold lurex. The top has a shiny patent collar and a keyhole detail in the front. It can be a sexy boudoir piece, yes, but it could also be something casual yet funky in your daily wardrobe.

Polina Top
Polina Top is a classic, which we re-launched due to popular demand for SS15. This time it comes in gorgeous nude & orange French lace to make it a must have for summer. As well as being absolutely adorable Polina is every bit as versatile, it comes with a belt which can be worn in 2 different ways –- tightly around the body or leaving the sides floating.

Susan Body
The Kriss Soonik signature piece came in a romantic pale yellow + white combination for SS14. A reversible bodysuit so versatile that you can wear it with a blazer and shorts in the city or for a glamorous boudoir evening on your honeymoon.

Our summer sale has started! Here are some of our favourite picks from the sale. A lot of the pieces are last ones, so get them before they disappear for good!

Top up your lingerie drawer with some pretty florals and pastels. One of the fave picks from this category is the Alison Bra and Knickers in gorgeous Nude+Orange combination. Or maybe the neon green version with the removable puff?

If you want soft and sexy, don´t look further than our rib jersey range. Only a couple of pieces left of the best-selling Kristiina Suspender Top in Burgundy and Grey. Get them before they are gone forever!

As you probably know, many of our pieces can be worn as outerwear. For example, try the Susan Lace Top in Electric Blue or Polina Top in Nude with Orange flowers. Check out our “How to Wear” post showing different ways how to style the Polina Top.
