Tell us a little bit about your personal style.
My personal style would be super simple. Mostly black, sometimes a few colours – grey/white (haha!), jeans, leather jacket. Chill, tomboyish, chic.
From time to time I love to go funky, like wear crazy printed t-shirts, jeans, heels and red lips. Above all, I want to feel comfortable in my clothes and I always dress according to my mood. Dressing up for me is expressing myself.

If you weren’t a model, you would be …
… a unicorn.

Favourite travel destination?
Definitely NYC. I just love love looooove this city! But places where I haven’t been and I would love to see are in South America – Mexico, Brazil, Peru. And also Capetown in South Africa. The world is my playground.

On a Saturday evening we would most probably find you …
Probably not at home, haha! Out with friends more likely – partying, bowling, at the cinema, you name it. Staying in front of the TV in my pajamas eating popcorn is not like me at all, I get inspired by people.

What´s your favourite piece from the Kriss Soonik collections? Why?
My favorite piece, hmmm, that’s a tough one. Kriss has so many amazing pieces, starting with bras and tops to gorgeous robes. I would love to wear them all, it’s not easy to pick out just one. But if I have to, I would say my black lace top – it’s super sexy but at the same time elegant.

Words to live by?
Do what makes you happy and what you are passionate about. You live once, so make it count. If you have a dream, work towards it. Nothing is impossible. Love deeply from your heart and travel as much and far as you can ☺

Meet Sakura

I met Sakura on my last trip to Japan. She works as a PR at PR01 agency representing the coolest fashion brands, including Cannabis boutique were Kriss Soonik collections are stocked and where we had our last Tokyo event. Sakura is one of the most stylish girls I have met. She has a very strong personal style and knows how to mix our designs into her outfits. We had a chat with her about Tokyo and her style, here´s what she told us…

What are your top 3 favourite places in Tokyo?
Harajuku, Shibuya & Ginza!
Harajuku – area where new fashion & culture trends are born, a very hip part of town.
Shibuya – area of Tokyo, where fashion, culture & music emerge and mix. It’s super crazy but fun!
Ginza – more traditional neighbourhood.

What’s one thing everyone needs to do when visiting Tokyo?
Make sure to visit some traditional buildings, see the beautiful landscape and have dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant. I’d also recommend to visit the Harajuku area in order to experience the Japanese fashion & culture. I think that young people in Harajuku represent really well contemporary Japanese fashion & culture.

Tell us a little bit about your personal style.
I wear clothes that fit my lifestyle and the occasion. When I go to the beach, I like to wear a cover up over a bikini with Vans sneakers. On a night out I usually put on a dress with a biker jacket. And on a lazy weekend to a brunch with my girlfriends I’d dress up my casual outfit with a Kriss Soonik Susan Lace Top.

What are your favourite fashion brands?
If I had to name one it would be Prada.

What do you think why Japanese women like Kriss Soonik?
I think that every Japanese woman wants to be strong yet elegant and Kriss Soonik products have both of those qualities.

What´s your personal favorite piece from the collections and why? How do you wear it?
Kristel Turtleneck Suspender Top as it was my first ever Kriss Soonik piece. It’s stylish and has a bit of a sexy edge. I love that you can wear as a regular top, with the suspenders showing. I keep the styling simple and pair it with skinny jeans. It truly is a special piece of clothing.

Inspirational Women – New York

Audrey Hepburn
Often when I start designing a new collection I think “What would Audrey wear?” I have loved her style since I was a little girl and she has influenced my personal style a lot. I think she would have rocked our black Kristel Turtle Neck Suspender Top. The Classic Lace Set and Elve Bra would have been brilliant in many of her movies. Elve Bra in “Paris When it Sizzles”? Perfect match.

Solange Knowles
Her style is just unbelievable! The colours, relaxed yet tailored, New York meets LA vibe. With her innate sense of style, she´d definitely know how to combine some of our more colourful “underwear as outerwear” styles into her wardrobe – Diana Wings Wrap in Red and Elve Body with Swarovski pearls. Not to mention all the colourful signature bras and knickers – I can see her mixing and matching.

Preetma Singh
One of the most original women I´ve ever met. The WSJ Mag Market Editor knows how to make green hair office friendly or how to dress down a plastic skirt. Just take a look at her blog and you´ll know what I´m talking about. She is the epitome of New York cool. She is our black fishnet girl – a fashionable mix of tough and sexy.

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen
Inspirational for their actions and their style. Business women breaking all the fashion rules. If they asked me to collaborate on a lingerie line for The Row, I wouldn´t hesitate for a moment. They seem like two wicked and very hard working girls. Our black fishnet lingerie set and Helen Lace Wrap would go well with their strong yet girly style.
