Kriss’s summer essentials

There are just so many beautiful pieces in our summer selection. While we love them all, there are just certain pieces every now and again that completely steal our heart. This season is no exeption and therefore we have asked Kriss to pick 3 of her favourite pieces that have taken a centre stage in her wardrobe.

Katwoman Print Wrap Dress

This is my go-to Summer dress. It got inspired by a vintage dress I had and loved. I swore by that dress every Summer, so when I started designing our own print collection this particular cut was the first deffinite piece in there. Love the simplicity, versatility and the ease of wearing it. Just wrap it around and you’re ready to take on Summer.

Kimono Gown

Last year I wore the pink Kimono Gown on a daily basis. Just as an easy, fun summer jacket. This year it’s going to be the limited edition yellow one. This colour is so fresh and brightens up not only my complexion but my entire day. It comes in very limited quantities, so if you want one beauty for your wardrobe, you’d better act quickly.

Katwoman Suspender T-Shirt

This is my baby! Designing this 10th-anniversary suspender t-shirt with illustrator Kati Stimmer was so inspiring and fun. It gave me so much pleasure and now throwing it over a pair of jeans gives me an equal amount of joy. Yes, it’s a t-shirt and maybe I shouldn’t be so excited but every now and then you end up designing a product that just has it all.

Katwoman Print

Beginning of the year, to start our 10th birthday celebrations we launched our signature cat logo tulle fabric. This marked the start of a special year with extra special releases. Now we are proud to introduce you our second limited edition fabric with an original Katwoman Print.

When the cat logo fabric was sheer and floaty then I wanted to add an opaque, non-transparent fabric to the mix. Something that would be ideal for Summer dresses and beach cover-ups. A fabric that would be ideal to mix and match with our lingerie inspired items.

The Katwoman print was born in collaboration with our illustrator extraordinaire Kati Stimmer. She is the creator of our Katwoman Alphabet that’s decorating our best-selling T-shirts. We wanted to take the character to another journey, including her in a subtle, a bit robotic way between the stripes and curves of the pattern.

The Katwoman pattern has been printed on the sustainable Tencel fabric in Portugal. For me it was important to find a fabric that’s easy to wear, easy to take care of and would be responsibly sourced.
Lyocell, better known as Tencel, is a fibre made from the wood pulp of trees that are grown and replaced on specialized tree farms. Unlike most cellulosic fabrics, Tencel is produced using recyclable, Earth-friendly solvents.
This eco fabric has natural breathability and 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton so it’s an ideal addition to a Summer wardrobe.
