Our London pop-up “The Garden of Naughty Delights” is now open. Yay! It stays open until the 8th of Sept. So make sure you don’t miss out and head to Shoreditch now. We are showcasing our brand new AW17 collection alongside with the bestselling classics.
It has always been our style to mix loungewear with the clothes you wear outside your home – that’s one of the many unique values of the Kriss Soonik brand. So when our marketing intern Grete came up with the photoshoot concept “Jump Out of Your Comfort Zone”, we jumped at the chance and took our loungerie out to the streets of London. 😉
Here are the results, hope you’ll love the pics as much as we do!
Last Saturday we put on quite a show at the Secret Brunch event in London. The fully sold-out event was themed as a Secret Temple and hosted more than 1000 guests for an epic daytime party.
The Halloween special edition of the event was shrouded in mystery – the location was announced on the same morning and all the guests were required to wear black capes and lace masks. This was a perfect setting for showing off our new collection and bestselling Classic items on the catwalk.
Our gorgeous models were styled as mysterious cat women wearing Kriss Soonik signature lace, fishnet and luxurious jersey pieces.
As usual, most of the photography on the show day happens backstage. We had a lot of fun getting the girls ready, taking selfies and attaching suspenders to stockings. Kriss shared some inspirational words before sending the models off to the catwalk.
The last and final stop of #ksworldtour is London. It´s been a crazy and emotional year of travels and events. To end it all with London, my current home town, is definitely very personal. Here are some of my favourites in the city at the moment.
Viola Boutique
Our brand new stockist in the heart of London. As you know Kriss Soonik is more than your regular lingerie and loungewear brand, making our collections suitable for all cool boutiques around the world. Doesn´t matter if they are fashion, lifestyle or lingerie shops. As long as they match the brand image, we are happy to work with them.
So of course I am glad to see that yet another fashion boutique has picked up our collections. Visit Viola at 25 Connaught Street to see their entire offering.
Columbia Road Flower Market
When in London, this is where I come to hang on a Sunday. Not only on a sunny Sunday. I actually prefer the market on a rainy day as there will be less people and the mood is very different.
It´s always very crowded but it´s worth every single elbow kick to your body. Walking around and imagining having your house filled with all the flowers is my favourite past time.
W Hotel
We´ve been addicted to this hotel for a long time but after hosting our press day there in April, it has became like a second home to us. It´s a great place for meetings and brainstorming sessions.
They also have a great restaurant – Spice Market – serving the most delicious Southeast Asian food.
East London
This is my hood. Has already been for the last 9 years – the entire time I have lived in London. And there´s no moving to other parts of London. I love it here. The creativity, the chilled mode, the cool new places constantly popping up on every corner – what´s not to love! Of course, the drunk kids on Saturday evenings are a bit too much to handle…
You can read more about my favourite places in East London in one of our previous posts “Kriss´s (East) London”.
Item of the Month – Susan Lace Top with Long Sleeves
A new item in our collection didn´t just happen overnight. Our classic Susan Lace Top (and soon the bodysuit as well) got long sleeves on customer demand. We heard it from women from Japan to France, how a long sleeved version would be easy to wear under other items and would keep you warm in Winter. We listened and now you can shop the final version on our website. Match it with Susan Knickers for a sexy boudoir look or pair it with your favourite pencil skirt for a glam party look this Christmas.
Last Wednesday we ended the #ksworldtour with a big bang in London when Ace Hotel in Shoreditch became the playground for cute catwomen.
The views of London´s City skyline with Guy Fawkes Day fireworks couldn´t have been a better backdrop for the mingling party people. With big balloons and champagne it really felt like a birthday party every 5 year old would dream of.
Guests, including singer Marina Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds, designer Patrick Grant, TV presenters Lilah Parsons & Olivia Cox, filled the floor with sexy moves dancing to the beats of DJ Paula Goldstein.
This was definitely a worthy end to a year filled with 5th anniversary events around the world. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Hope you had a blast! See you all very soon.
Estonian fashion magazine “Mood” asked Kriss to name her favourite places in London for their June issue. Our #ksworldtour London month is far away but we still decided to share the answers with our readers as well. Only after Kriss had replied to the questions did we realise that 8 years of living in East London has definitely influenced her choices…
