Underwear as Outerwear. Knickers in New York vol.2
Visiting our favourite US buyers and press in the Big Apple has become a bi-annual tradition. With temperatures at 25° C instead of 34° C in August, New York is definitely my true love.
Three days of meetings at The Lingerie Collective trade show at a gorgeous Manhattan penthouse (with the best balcony ever!) definitely demanded showroom-worthy outfits. So I decided to give a test drive to some of our new designs. And here are the results:
Rebecca Top – launching already in September 2013. A chic yet casual Sunday outfit. The new classic top in our signature soft jersey has a stunning kitty cat lace collar and square bow that spice up a black look. Matched with a vintage skirt and Din Sko shoes.
Kristel Polo Suspender T-shirt – from our 5th anniversary SS14 collection launching in January 2014. This was the look that made some buyers go "You´re just crazy, Kriss!" Apparently they meant it in the most positive way as the "preppy sexy" line was a big hit on the other side of the pond. For the first time our signature suspender top comes in pique material, a polo collar, pearl buttons and cute puffy sleeves. Matched with glitter pink and latex spiked Senso shoes and H&M skirt. And a Minnie Mouse bow.
Elve Mesh Dress – also from our 5th anniversary collection launching in January 2014. We really wanted to give the SS14 a glamorous birthday vibe and the Elve Mesh range with Swarovski Elements pearl necklace is one of our most alluring lines to date. Matched with Irregular Choice see-through heels, H&M trousers and vintage jacket.
Can´t wait to go back to New York. But next time, all these designs will already be gracing the shelves of our beautiful boutiques from Manhattan to Brooklyn. And then I hope to spot other "crazy" ladies flaunting these styles on the streets.
